The Lightning Bolt – Africa’s highest, winner-takes-all, custom motorcycle showcase.
It’s a R150 000 prize, expert judging panel and 25km rideable challenge. Inviting renowned custom builders but allowing the passionate amateur wrench monkey to enter – a first for motorcycle culture in Africa!
Presented by BMW Motorrad South Africa, hosted by The House of Machines (Cape Town) and sponsored by Super Bock and Espolòn Tequila. The Lightning Bolt is the regional extension of the global custom show – The Golden Bolt – a custom motorcycle showcase that set a new standard for the rideable competition category in the USA.
