With Erik Dippenaar (organ)

The Cape Town Baroque Orchestra’s Artistic Director, Erik Dippenaar, presents a programme of solo organ repertoire from the Baroque period. The programme focuses on the variety of styles and colours found in solo organ compositions during the 17th and 18th centuries, deriving from the distinct organ building and compositional traditions of several different nationalities. It includes works by Bach, Buxtehude, Bruhns, Corette and Cabanilles, as well as a Mediaeval wild card. The concert also features an improvisation in the Baroque style, on a theme supplied by the audience.
