Marvin returns to his hometown Schauderville to spend time with his former race-walking coach, Uncle Smithie. His younger brother Malcolm is, after all these years, still caught up in the menaces of “Shôde”. Marvin and Uncle Smithie remember the good old days of national championships and how sport unlocked opportunities for him. However, every opportunity came with sacrifices. While Marvin is now living his dream in the entertainment industry after his achievements as a young athlete, the past, as well as his brother’s regression, are haunting him. This semi-autobiographical sports drama asks how one can free yourself from the past while enjoying the pinnacle of success.
