Dr. Rowan Williams is a distinguished Welsh Anglican theologian, author, poet, and prophet. Widely known for his profound integration of spirituality, traditional orthodox theology, and progressive social views, he is as much at home in the intellectual life of the university and the cultural life of the city, as he is in the life of the ecumenical church.

The Volmoed Retreat and Conference Centre, in collaboration with Hermanus FynArts presents a lecture by Dr Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury (2002 - 2012) - Religion and the Arts in Contemporary Society.
This lecture forms part of Volmoeds Week of Reflection led by Dr Williams. Dr. Williams is a distinguished Welsh Anglican theologian, author, poet, and prophet. Widely known for his profound integration of spirituality, traditional orthodox theology, and progressive social views, he is as much at home in the intellectual life of the university and the cultural life of the city, as he is in the life of the ecumenical church.
