The Red Mango Arts Festival is an annual celebration of South Africa’s diverse cultural heritage, launched in 2025 and hosted at the historic Sastri College in Durban.

Founded and directed by award-winning actor and writer Rajesh Gopie, the festival is presented by Singabantu Creative Arts in association with Sastri College.

This year commemorates the 165th anniversary of the arrival of Indians in South Africa while embracing a contemporary multicultural identity that reflects Afro, Indo, and Eurasian narratives. Running from 8 to 11 October 2025, the inaugural festival features a rich cultural programme spanning theatre, music, dance and storytelling.

The South African premiere of Rajiv Joseph’s Letters of Suresh
The Boy Friend – a Broadway musical revue presented by Tshwane University.
