From Unborn Musical to Battling with Myself, Buntu Jobela returns with Sonelisiwe Maleki and Mfundi the Poet for another powerful theatrical experience. This contemporary rap (Rhythm & Poetry) production, Ngqondo Qina Bopha, will take place in April 2025 at the Artscape Theatre.
Step into the inner world of the Mind, Buntu performs as himself, caught in a battle between his thoughts and emotions. Sonelisiwe represents the voice of reason, a positive mind filled with hope and clarity. Mfundi, on the other hand, embodies the dark, rebellious heart, a force driven by impulse and conflict. Together, they reflect the good and bad within us all.
Through rhythm and poetry, this play explores the moments when we lose ourselves to feelings we don’t fully understand. Voices echo in our minds, convincing us they are who we are but are they really? Join us on a journey inside, as Buntu wrestles with the forces shaping our decisions, dreams, and fears.
This is not just a performance or an Act, it is you, laid bare.
