This winter, our Opera Blocks series brings friends of the forest to your local library from 1-5 July 2025. Combining engaging storytelling, music, and movement, Opera Blocks offers a stimulating and developmental adventure perfect for toddlers and young children aged 0- 5!
Opera Blocks brings music, song, and play together in accessible and exciting ways.
Exposing young minds to classical music has been proven to have a positive effect on a child’s development and creativity, and audience members can expect to be enthralled by this new production of Opera Blocks Forest Friends. Designed to entertain and stimulate young minds with beautiful music, gentle choreography, and mesmerising visual effects, little ones and their guardians are invited to engage with props and set pieces that will immerse one into a forest winter wonderland.
Opera Blocks Forest Friends is 60 minutes in duration and will be offered at the following libraries:
Tue, 1 July: Athlone Library 13:00
Wed, 2 July: Edgemead Library 10:00 and 14:00
Thurs, 3 July: Cape Town Central Library 14:00
Fri, 4 July 2025: Hout Bay Library 14:00
