Ashton Senior College's cultural students are proud to present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR., an adaptation of the beloved animated film by Walt Disney Pictures. The film itself was inspired by the classic French fairy tale by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont and later transformed into a stage musical. The original Broadway production was directed by Rob Roth, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and a book by Linda Woolverton.

This timeless story follows a selfish prince who is cursed and transformed into a fearsome beast as punishment for his lack of compassion.
To break the spell and regain his human form, he must learn to love—and be loved in return—by a bright and beautiful young woman whom he holds captive in his enchanted castle.

In this year’s production, Megan Roberts stars as Belle, and Stavros Vassilatos takes on the role of the Beast. Don’t miss this magical retelling brought to life by the talented students of Ashton Senior College.
