The year 2025 marks 100 years since the birth of one of Greece's greatest composers and lyricists famed for his film scores and politiciaN, Michail 'Mikis' Theodorakis (29 July 1925--2 September 2021).
This event is an oral and musical tribute to the man and a celebration of his prolific musical output, ranging from a classical music song cycle, ballet music to popular vocal and stringed instrument compositions.

Well-known South African-Greek author Costa Ayiotis will present an infromative account of Theodorakis' life.

Music will be introduced, and performed by popular Greek singer Rosanna Delenta, cantor Glynnis Kanar, opera singer Lynette van der Merwe and singer Peter Angelopulo.
