FATHERHOOD

About

Fatherhood is an abstract play that fuses drama, music, and movement to tell the story of four young boys who grew up in a township community without a father figure to look up to. These young boys are left to navigate the consequences of life in a broken home.
The show weaves humour with the brutal realities of a child’s experience – including identity crisis, shame, bulling, crime, gender-based and poverty. It is a deeply emotional and symbolic piece that addresses the foundations of a child’s emotional wellbeing and growth.
