The Cape Town Concert Series presents a season of concerts focused around it’s Steinway Grand Piano - which turns 65 this year and is considered one of the finest recital pianos in the country.
The 3rd concert in our series features Bulgarian pianist Ludmil Angelov with a programme of Mozart, Weber and Chopin. Lauded for his ‘consummate mastery’, his recording of Chopin’s Rondos and Variations was awarded a Grand Prix du Disque. He is a sought-after pedagogue whose masterclasses are renowned, and he also regularly serves as a juror at several international competitions.
The concert starts at 11am in the Baxter Concert Hall, as the perfect start to the weekend. The Baxter restaurant and bar are open before and after the concert and you are welcome to take your drinks into the hall to enjoy with the music.
The concert is supported by the Stellenbosch International Piano Symposium and the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
